What age do you teach?

Evynne works with students ages 13 and up. She specializes in working with students who have been through a vocal change and are ready to take their skills to the next level. With extensive experience coaching high school students to prepare for auditions and refine their techniques, Evynne also loves working with adults at any stage of their musical journey.

What is performance coaching?

Performance coaching with Evynne is designed to help musical theater performers and vocalists achieve their artistic goals by identifying areas for growth and developing essential skills. Her holistic approach goes beyond vocal technique to encompass the full spectrum of performance.

 

Evynne works with students to:

Do you help with audition preparation?

Absolutely! Evynne has extensive experience helping students prepare for auditions, from selecting and cutting songs to refining performance techniques and building confidence.

What are your qualifications?

Evynne holds a BA from the University of Oregon in Spanish and Music. She studied as a music major in the U of O School of Music for two years before realizing that opera performance wasn’t her passion. Over the last 20 years, she's built a career performing professionally in regional theater, online & beyond, reaching Broadway in 2017. She performs regularly with the Eugene Symphony and at local venues like The Shedd and Oregon Contemporary Theatre. Evynne directed children's theatre for 5+ years, and worked with adults and students in group and private coaching sessions for over 8 years! She has also been the stage director for the Sheldon High School Spring musicals for the past four years!

What types of music do you teach?

Evynne specializes in musical theater and contemporary styles but also has experience with classical, jazz and pop music. Lessons are tailored to the student's goals & interests.

How often should I take lessons?

Consistency is key to making progress. Most students benefit from weekly lessons, but Evynne is happy to discuss a schedule that works best for your goals and availability.

What is your approach to vocal health?

Vocal health is a top priority in Evynne’s teaching. She incorporates techniques to ensure students sing in a sustainable and healthy way, focusing on proper technique, warm-ups, and care for the voice.

Where are you located?

Hollens House Studio is located in the heart of Eugene, Oregon, in Evynne's home studio.

Do you offer virtual lessons?

Yes, Evynne offers online lessons for students who are unable to attend in person, providing flexibility for those outside the Eugene area or with busy schedules.

What is your cancellation policy?

To ensure fairness and consistency, please provide at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel without penalty.

Do you teach group lessons?

Evynne focuses primarily on one-on-one coaching but is open to teaching group lessons on a case-by-case basis. If you are interested in group lessons, please reach out to discuss your specific needs and goals.

Do you teach other instruments?

While Evynne does not offer lessons for instruments, she is happy to provide recommendations for trusted local teachers upon request.
